camel tastes good

Okay. Let's see, after 4 days on the train with a very smelly Russian family, 2 cold nights in Siberia at Lake Bikal, 1 more day on the train helping my Mongolian roommates smuggle German baby lotion from Russia to their homeland. I finally made it to Mongolia- The Land of Blue Sky. And that is where I've been for the last 10 days.

Actually, I've been bouncing around the back of a gnarly Russian style minivan, from the Gobi to the mountains for 1844 kms on dirt roads. And it was so sweet!

Myself and 3 Dutch people I met on the train- Gerbin, Marron and Jasper, along with our awsome Mongolian driver, Otgo all took on this mighty 9 day adventure and how sweet it was.

We saw thousands of my favorite animal, the camel, and even got to ride one through the sand dunes. We also rode horses to a beautiful waterfall (even though it was all dried up). We've eaten way, way too much mutton (not good) and I also got to eat my favorite animal (very good). We got to sleep in many gers (yurt) in the beautiful countryside. And I almost broke my neck when Otgo hit a huge bump going about 80ks and I smashed my head into the celing. Oh yeah, that was the same moment our breaks went out. And I've met many wonderful Mongolian families.

So the country had been absolutly wonderful and I wish I could stay longer but I can't. Tomorrow I'm off to China.
