April 22, 2005military escort
What up all! Had a sweet time in London for 2 weeks with Travis. Pretty much did 3 or 4 walking tours of the city seems like, so I know my way around. And ate like a king, Indian, Pakistani, Chilean,Vietnamese, Chinese, Turkish, Greek ,English and McDonalds. Nery Nice. Now I've arrived in Moscow and eveything is going good. Except it freakin snowed on me yesterday while I was walking around Red Square! How can it still be this cold? Just chillin', checkng out St. Basils Chathedral and it started to blizzard outside so I had to duck into McDonalds for a bit of warmth and a Royal With Cheese :) Getting here sort of started out as a pain too but in the end was sweet. I missed my connecting flight in Frankfurt because Heathrow airport sucks. So, I had to get on a later flight which wasn't going to arrive here until 11 pm. I was all worried about how I'd get into the city because by that time the metro is closed. Anyway, I ended up sitting next to an American Marine from Cheyenne who works here guarding the embassy and offered to give me a lift into town. So right off the plane we get to cruise through costoms with ease because he has a diplomat passport. That was sweet. Then his driver meets us with a freakin' armored van and I got a free lift with a military escort. Awsome! So all is good and cold but I'm totally diggin' it. And I met some awsome peeps from south Russia last night at my hostal who forced me to try some "real Russian Vodka" :) Comments
