What's up everybody and welcome to my blog! If you're wondering why it's called "...and he stops for a bag of chips", it's sort of just an inside joke that only 3 other people in the world would understand (what's up Gavin, Rob and Simon). But basically it just sums up what traveling really is to me, hanging out with new friends from all over the world in new and exotic places and just enjoying your time to the fullest.

I've got about 36 hours until I take off for my first destination... Madrid, Spain to hook up with my good buddy Travis and Dana for a little bit of warm weather before I head into Siberia. I think I've pretty much got everything set up and am ready to go. Plane tickets bought, everything on the packing list checked off, got all the visas I need first off and I've spent the last four months addicted to the 'Lonely Planet's Thorn Tree Forum' reading everything about RTW trips, the Trans-Siberian railway and all the fun adventures others have had along the route. So I'm set. I'm a little bit anxious and I guess, nervous too since this will be my first trip solo but I'm super exited.
