Where did I leave off? Oh yes...the dreaded rolling stones. I am all healed and ready to experience the world. I can hardly believe I am actually leaving for Europe in 10 days. Ahhhhh! So much to do. I am wrapping things up at work and now just need to tie off loose ends in my personal life.

Why am I such a procrastinator? Why did I wait to call the travel nurse one and a half weeks before I am supposed to leave? Why am I not packed? Well, it is all a bit overwhelming I suppose. Never having backpacked before...it is hard to imagine that I have to pack a small bag for the next 6 weeks. I have a hard enough time not bringing everything I own on a three day trip.

As a nation we are in the midst of the Hurricane Katrina recovery. I am feeling slightly guilty keeping my trip to Europe and not spending the next 6 weeks helping out. I really don't have the skills to do anything. They aren't going to need a fashion designer any time soon...

I am spending the last few days I have in the US with family, friends, and my new boyfriend. It is really bitter sweet (traveling). This is a once in a lifetime trip.
