Day 23..

It turns out its hard to find time to sit in front of a computer in Europe. We’ve got some down time in Athens while waiting to get on the train and eventually go back to Italy, so here are some pictures. Thanks for all the posts everybody. Sorry its been so long.

Highlights:

Zurich: Totally delicious fondue

Florence: Tiny Cartinycar.JPG

Florence: Gates of Paradise, anyone? (along with Florence crowds - totally crazy)paradise.JPG

Pisa: The Tower (the baptistery was way cooler though)

CINQUE TERRE! Totally beautiful and awesome. Click the thumbnail for the bigger pic.

We skipped Rome (going back tomorrow) because all the rooms were full. Greece is cooler anyway.

The Acropolis (its really hot up there)

Why Greece is better than Italy: cheap and delicious food. Plus they put fries in it! They put fries on everything. (A Gyro is only 1.50 Euro)

Trip to Island of Paros:

Chillin in a bar - tasty beer:

What happened in the Seattle Airport (it has since completely cracked. It still plays music though. This American life on MP3 is totally awesome.)

The trip is flying by. Only 42 or something days left. Next up Rome, then Croatia and up through eastern europe. Wahooooo.

hey graham, keep me informed how you get to europe. although i meet cool people being alone, travelling alone is a totally crazy thing, esp. in unknown places. the more info i know, the better. guess what, i´m here in munich and im sitting next to angie and kate. they have been traveling and they want to know why you just snubbed them. i guessed they emailed you and you didnt get back to them, so now they think youre stuck up, just like i do, not letting me tag along. haha just joking. seriously though, they are sitting next to me. keep me updated on tips, esp croatia. ( now that im alone my mom is trying to disuade me from going to that place) :-( take care, be safe, and have fun. -kevin

I’ve heard numerous times that Rome is crazy expensive, but you’ve got to see it!!! See it for me!!! That’s the first place in Europe I want to go to next, go see the Pantheon, the Colliseum, the huge aquaducts etc etc, when you get back I must live vicariously through your pictures of Rome, so take alot!!!

Uh, tips, ummm… I dunno. We havent had too many problems. Dont arrive late at night in a place where you dont have a room. Bad idea.
