Round the World ’06-’07

Finished work on friday, don’t think i’ll miss the early morninings too much. Have spent this week packing and re-packing, getting medicines and traellers cheques, and generally having a bit of a panic that it has come around so quickly.

Nothing major left to do now except probably re-pack my bag for the 10th time!

I leave on Monday morning so the next chance i’ll get to post i’ll be in Hanoi (and wide awake in the middle of the night due to jet lag!!) 

Had a day off work today to go to the Vietnamese Embassy in London. £42 for 1 month tourist visa seemed a little expensive, but seeing as i can’t go without one I’ll just have to live with it!! Sould be receiving my passport back on the 6th Feb. Getting very excited now, and spending all my spare time on travelling websites, and reading guide books. Roll on the 13th!!

Just booked my ticket tonight. The plan at the moment is to fly to Hanoi on 13/3 , and overland to Singapore, via HCMC, Cambodia, Thailand and Malasia, taking around 3 months. Then Flying in to Perth in June, Working and ... [Continue reading this entry]
