So I tried diving again today. My plan to take two days off to get healthy was good, in theory, but choosing to do my visa run during this time might have made my cold worse. The 10pm ferry was an open deck vessel, meaning we slept under a tarp on bamboo mats on the upper deck, wind blowling through our hair. The temperature was slightly cool by thai standards - I think it dipped to a chilly 25degrees. If that doesn't make you sick, then I don't know what will!
I didn't sleep too much and so ave not really improved enough to dive... I tried today but caused a lot of pain in my left ear because I couldn't equalize the pressure, so, as once before, I lay out on the deck of the boat listening to my newly bought cd's soaking up some sun.
The group I started with (including andrew) have all finished the course and are heading to Ko Pha Nagn tomorrow to hang out until the Full Moon Party on the 28th. Hopefully I will be able to finish the course before I go meet up with them...
The Swedes I met on Ko Samet have apparently arrived on Ko Tao to do an open water course as well, and I'm surprised that I haven't found them yet (with Ko Tao being so small...).
It rained a fair bit today, one big downpour lasting about twenty minutes. I miss the refreshing smell after a good rain in Canada, here it just becomes a bit more muggy after a rainfall. Cleans everything though.
I've just finished eating a nice pepperoni pizza and watching Finding Nemo, thinking about heading home for a nap, though it is only 8pm.
