On Khao San, late at night, the vendors switch to selling View image">fried insects, mostly for the tourists, I think.
Every night the Thai bartenders would put on a View image">fire show; a baton with lit ends. They could do amazing tricks... The restaurant spills onto the beach when the weather is good, you can have a delicious meal in paradise, eh! I think this is after I was sick. I had made the necklace out of shells from up the beach - became very popular with the thais. It's strange for a 'rich' farang to make things, they're supposed to be too lazy... Jep's is the bungalow where I stayed. View image">Neat scene at night... On Ko Chang, and everywhere else, they offer BBQ's at night. I paid 150baht (expensive) for these View image">massive prawns Forgot to mention: When I was on Ko Chang for one night, we wandered down the beach from our huts to find a place to get some beverages. the brits had been there one night already and so met some swedish (yes, there are a lot of swedes!) friends of theirs. I was standing about for a moment and glanced around. I saw this one guy who looked mildly familiar, but almost thought nothing of it - with so many travellers in Thailand it's unlikely to run into a familair face... It turned out to be a friend of mine from SFU!!! we took first and second year classes together, lived in res together, and hung out every once in awhile... Here's Simon Gauthier and I, shocked as heck to have run into one another! What a strange coincidence!!!View image Three Swedish guys and myself.
