October 14, 2004Island heaven, food poisoning
Just a quickie, as the connection is slow and pricey... I've been on an island south of Pattaya called ko samet. Came here with Andrew and another Canadian guy, since met a lot of cool people, plan to meet up in the south. Been tremendously wet followed by brief sun, although last two days have been great. It's truly island paradise and the water is sparkling blue and green, sand is white and squeaks under your toes. Been in a bungalow near the beach for $5 a night. Food is expensive and has caused some problems - yesterday I developed acute nausea cause presumably by something I ate, been very sick, recovering slowly. Was supposed to go to Ko Chang today, might go tomorrow instead. I will put up photos soon, perhaps when back in Bangkok in a few days. you will all be jealous! I am developing a sweet tan, and you can no longer spot me as being fresh off the boat, so to speak. I'll check back in with a more thorough entry soon. Comments
Hi Erik. The beach sounds great -- not the food poisoning part though. Hope you're feeling better.Happy travels xo Tante Posted by: Tante and Onki on October 15, 2004 12:29 PM |
