Well I wandered Khao San for awhile yesterday. Lots of farangs fresh off the plane... I've only been here a week, but i feel very comfortable already.

I met up with some people that I recognized from the train - three Slovenians. They spoke english very well and we spent the night drinking Singha beer in a pub on the main strip. I learned a lot about their country, about which I really knew nothing. I had never heard of the capitol city, for instance...
The thai liquor laws required us to be moved in off the street at 11, then at 12 we had to drink from plastic cups, and finally at 1 we were moved to the back room, as no liquor can be bought after 1, officially.

The cure for loose bowel movements seems to be excessive drinking, so I will try to use this to my advantage whenever possible.... :) Hey mom! Ha!

I think I'm headed to Ko Samet, where I will meet up with Andrew...
