I'm a 24 year old computer graduate living in Ireland. My only other traveling experiences are a couple of short backpacking excursions to Central and Eastern Europe accompanied by some friends. During the past year or so since my last trip my feet have become itchier and itchier. Before this an extened solo trip would not even have entered my mind and even now seems daunting. But after doing quite a bit of reading I realised that it would be very possible with some initiative and a little bit of research, and of course money comes in handy too. So there's my story, I'm flying into Thailand on November 28th, from there exploring parts of South East Asia, and if money permits returning home through Asia and Europe across land as much as possible. With this rough idea in mind I hope to play it by ear as much as possible, taking into account the views of other travelers and the couple of contacts that I have.
