came to australia for one reason. it didn't go the way as planned but i reckon i like this turnout more. so what has this little half canadian, half aussie, half chinese, half latina, half irish, half japanese girl learned? like i said earlier on in june: the older i get, the less tolerant i am of things. more specifically less tolerant of...stupid people, stupid questions, slow walkers, fast talkers, slow talkers, american accents, canadian accents, loud talkers, soft talkers, rude talkers, feet draggers, girls that wear their clothes too tight, girls that wear their clothes too short (saw a girl's bum from beneath her skirt), unappreciative people, public feet fluff players (try saying THAT 3 times fast), and last but not least...bum cracks (i know the style now is to wear low riders but when you sit, please pull those bottoms UP and make sure your crack is not smiling at someone else. aaaaaaaaaand thank you!

to this list i now add snorers, smelly hostel rooms, epilepsy forming flickering lights, theives in hostels (we're all backpackers trying to save money...don't steal from one another please), top bunks, bottom bunks that squeek, bunks that sink in the middle, inconsiderate people noisely stumbling in the dorm at 4am, inconsiderate people slamming doors open and shut, open and shut at 6am, people that haven't learned to say please, thank you and excuse me, aaaaaand last but certainly not least, people in the dorm having sex. (hey, it's a hostel! i'm sure they'll have a room available for you!).

i have learned not to take shit but still tolerate it to an exent. not to get upset so quickly and learn to pick my fights. also, when a man touches you when you don't want him to, i have learned to grab him by the balls and ~~twist~~ (just like i did in Cairns)

having said all that i have learned to be more patient with friends. friends are not perfect, friends make mistakes, friends are inspirational, friends make you think, friends help you to grow, friends help you out, friends think about you even if they don't email or call you, friends are good to have a gelato or cuppa with, friends teach you, friends cry with you, friends laugh with you, friends laugh at you, friends listen to you and friends challenge you.

i have decided that i have no idea what i'm going to do next year or with the rest of my life for that matter...thanks a lot friends. ok well, i have sort of an idea. but don't ask me what that is. but have realized that i'm just gonna go with the flow. see what happens. see where life takes me. if i end up back in australia, in japan teaching, uk working, canada studying or on a mountain top in south america...then that's where i'm suppose to be.
