your engrish is pretty good

tanaka san doko ni imasu ka?

i have just completed 10 weeks of japanese classes today.

watashi namae wa elizabeth desu. watashi no sensei o-namae wa saho-san. kanojo wa 30 sai desu. saho-san wa kirei de nigiyaka desu. konban watashi to mel-san to saho-san wa dansu ni ikimasho.

my name is elizabeth. my teacher's name is saho. she is 30 years old. saho is pretty and lively. tonight mel, saho and i are going dancing!!!

well, they are simple sentences but at least they are coherent. i couldnt even put a sentence together before. thanks to saho i am no longer running around asking "where is mr. tanaka?" like i had learned from my japanese translation book in vancouver 8 months ago. which by the way, cletus, no...i never used that stupid phrase. grrr.

went out with saho that thursday nite and i guess because we are both asian we got spoken to in japanese. there are a lot of japanese in cairns so i get mistaken for japanese quite often. THREE FRIGGIN times that night i got guys saying to me that my engrish is pretty good.! for saho it's notta problemo but for me...from canada...i just go..yeah mate...yours isn't too bad either.
