i'm not a waterbaby but i can sure set up a tent!

hello!!!!

am enjoying myself here. a couple weekends ago i went to moreton island. very cool shipwrecks. i tried swimming out to them but the current was so strong btwn the shipwrecks and the shore that i only made it half way before i thought i was going to drown. i'm not a strong swimmer. =( when i eventually got back to shore i saw a guy with a little motorboat so i hitched a ride to the wrecks. it was amazing! also tried sandboarding...it's fun but just not the same to get a face full of sand as opposed to a face full of snow while snowboarding back in vancouver. i think i was still munching on sand for a while after we stopped. the days consisted of going for a swim, goin for a 4x4 ride through the jungly, undisturbed island to a fresh water lake, going for another swim, going to camp...i actually set up a tent!!! shocking,i know. only about 10 mossie bites from that whole weekend which i thought was pretty good! had a few drinks, had cod and baramundi fish for dinner! ooooooh sooo good! the next day consisted of more swimming at the fresh water lake, hiking up to the lighthouse for the beautiful view and then going for another swim in the blue, clear water then drying off to have lunch and another swim. i reckon i was all pruney that weekend from being in the water so much!
