good news, good news. have found a job as a....drum roll please...Photolab techy...AGAIN! i just can't escape it! aaaaaaand the funny thing is, the manager, Gavin, reminds me of one of my old bosses...JAY!!! aaaargh! i can't escape you damnit! contrary to Jay, Gavin seems pretty cool and was wearing a transformer t-shirt the day i went in for my 'interview'. it was pretty much a phone interview and just come in for a trail run. i started two fridays ago! that's why i haven't been emailin. funnily enough, both AJ and his roomy lany take their photos there for printing. it seems like a quality lab and they have amazing photos on display in frames and around the store. thanks keith for the fatherly advice...i did listen!

the weather here is pretty hot. yesterday was hot, the day before yesterday was hot, today is hot. last weekend went to 41.7. (and jes jinnie...that is in celsius) aiya! burn my little toesies! don't worry mum...am wearing heaps of sunscreen and i stay outta the sun.

had a good valentine's day. dinner and a play. play was entitled, 'what the butler saw'. there was no butler. i will never understand aussies.

went to the beach couple sundays ago and IT ROCKED! saw a school of fishies! hundreds of them right there! just wiggling around! went boogy boardin too! caught some good waves in. (gonna have to figure out the lingo eventually) glen, u'll teach me right? i didn't want to get out of the water!

aj's gone to Rockhampton for work. next thursday i leave to meet him there and we take off to Great Keppel Island again. i may have shown some of you my pic of the island that we took the last time we went there. if you haven't seen it, it's on www.gonlen.com under the travel gallery. well, the mossie bite count is only at 38 or so now. i think i'm getting better with them. i don't get 1inch diameter welts anymore. i hear that only the females bite (darn b*tches) and they will continue to bite until they get the blood vessel they are seeking. which explains why i had 4 in a row going up the side of my leg.

oh jes, and went to AJ's work 'happy hour' that lasted 6 hours (???). IN VANCOUVER we have all you can eat. in AUSTRALIA they have all you can drink! freak !! woohoo. and AJ's workmate, bridgette, taught me how to order. she said each time i go up to the bar i have to order TWO drinks! when the bar closes you order as many as you can carry. when the bar closed i reckon there were more than 30 drinks on the table for 5 of us or so. that was just OUR table.

well, miss you all. EMAIL ME MORE please. although i will be a workin woman i will always have time for my emails!
