cash jobs=deportation plus the big storm that tore up the city

hello hello hello!!!

have tried the McOz. jup. donno why we dont have a cdn burger...McCdn or McEh? the McOz had a slice of beet in it. interesting. have also tried some different types of fruit as i went to TROPICAL FRUIT WORLD! could possibly be the best place to work i reckon!! tried the red dragonfruit, R2E2 mango, magic fruit and Abio in addition to some other things that i don't remember the name of. the red dragon fruit helps with memory...guess i should take more of that. the R2E2 mango was the juciest and yummiest and huge!! the Abio was a cross btwn a grapefruit and a grape!!! so goooood. magic fruit makes everything taste the opposite of what they normally taste. sweets taste sour and sour tastes sweet! and ciggys end up tasting like nail polish remover. will send some to all my friends who smoke. oooooooooooh and the lychees! we managed to sneak off to this area where all the lychee trees were and we managed to eat one or TEN right off the tree!!!! sooo jummy! heaven i tell ya! just plain heaven

after tropical fruit world we drove down to Byron Bay and chilled. had some lunchie and headed for the lighthouse. a little trail from there led us to the most Easterly point of mainland Australia! guess i'll have to try to go to the most westerly point as well eventually. =) being the tourist that i am i did take pics.

have found work...sorta. am distributing leaflets for a couple hours here and there. this week i do it for 3 hours a day (btwn 6.30 and 9.30am!!!) god help me. but i only have to actually work for 45mins or so but get paid for the full 3 hours. am becoming a bludger more and more each day! (did i say that correctly?) found myself some more leaftlet work btwn 12 and 2....after that i think i'm gonna go home and sleep!

got the jobs through a 'job club' at the local backpacker's place. AJ was worried that some of the jobs would be dodgy and just a front of sorts to see who's working illegally. "CASH JOBS EQUALS DEPORTATION" he says to me the nite before i went looking for work. heehee. no worries...i have not been deported...yet!

so i was a bit bored the past few days as my jobs are just for a couple hours a day here and there. (look at that...even when i'm on holidays, i still have 2 jobs!!!) so i took jinnie's advice to just enjoy this time and relax. have a cuppa coffee and chill. tried doing that. sat on some bench in the middle of the Queen Streeet Mall (outdoor mall) people watching when an OLD man approaches me. he was nice enough to begin with and found out that he even spoke spanish. it was nice to have a conversation with an actual person instead of the voice in my head. we conversed for a little in spanGlish until i said i had to go. of course the ol' dirty bloke asked to show me around brissy. oi ve! he spit on me frequently and i could smell him...ick. the next day, i was waiting for the bus and some other OLD man tried to. jinnie, thanks for the advice! ppfft! last time i listen to you!!!

a HUGE storm hit on friday afternoon as i was about to go home. all the stores had to close their doors and was hard to find proper cover as the rain was coming from all directions. someone said that we probably caught the tail end of a tornado!!!! not sure how reliable this source was as same source also was running around yelling, "we're all gonna die!!! we're all gonna die!!!" on the busride home saw a tallll tree had been uprooted and on it's side. wow, scaaaary!

seems as if the liittle kids have gone back to school this week from summer holidays. good. all those pequena mierdas (ken, there's some spanish for you...pequena mierdas means little sh*ts) were infesting the mall. =)

chuster - saw the Last Samurai movie over the weekend. i know i said i didn't like tom cruise but that was a freakin wicked flick!!! it musta been cuz of the japanese and not tom cruise.

nardy- big hugs and kisses. oh and when is eva due? how aboot salami? any news on those pregos??? oh yeah, can you please tell Kathy C that lorenzo did not make it. i forgot to mention sooner. his arms and legs broke off and had to leave him in tokyo. his one booby remained attached to his head though. strong sucker.
