July 07, 2004I promise the pictures are coming
Okay, so I have been home for a week now, and I know you are all wondering where are the pictures you took? Well, you see, when I first got home, all I wanted to do was sleep. In fact, a few times, I woke up and didn't know where I was at. It took me a few minutes to figure out that I was home. Anyhow, I finally got over that and it was time to go to my mom's house for July 4th. But, first I had to sing at church. This was a nearly traumatic event. You see, I hadn't sang for about a month and I had actually forgotten one of the songs I was supposed to sing. Thankfully, Tom, (the piano player) changed the song for me and saved my butt. Thanks Tom!!! Anyhow, I made it through and got on the road to home. Well, to make a long story short, I spent 2 1/2 days with my mom and then headed back to Indy. The story doesn't end there though. Yeah, after getting back to Indy, I did a load of laundry and packed my suitcase again. This time I headed off to Michigan. My best friend Sarah moved to Michigan while I was in Ireland. She didn't run off to Michigan because I am some crazy stalker lady or anything, she moved there with her husband, Scott, (whose pic is on the blog..back at the beginning) and their daughter, Lily, who is the most wonderful little girl in the whole world! She is also the smartest, cutest, funniest, well..... you get the picture. Anyhow, I hadn't seen them in almost a month and Lily kept asking when Headert was "coming back from Ireland with the sheep?" If you remember, she wanted a sheep as big as a dog. I brought her a sheep, but it was no where near as big as a dog. So, after a almost 4 hour drive, I arrived in Michigan. Land of the Great Lakes. I have been to the beach twice and went to Old Navy today and got some fabulous shirts for the rest of the summer. Hopefully, we can go to the beach again tomorrow and play in the sand and surf. Life sure is hard here in Michigan. Anyhow, now that I am here, I don't want to leave. I think I could just stay in the guest room indefinately. I don't think Lily would mind. Afterall, I am her Headert who likes to have tea parties and watch Nemo and sing The Wheels on The Bus. But, I know that eventually, I will have to come back to my real life in Indy. I think that is going to happen on Friday morning. But, until then, I am going to live it up here in Michigan. So, until this weekend when I promise to put my pictures on the blog, hit the beach, the water's fine!! Heather Posted by Heather on July 7, 2004 10:51 PM
