Adare, Moving on To Galway, Random Thoughts from the Road

I love magazines in Europe. Yes, I know that is a random thought, but you see, I included random thoughts from the road in this title, sooo. I will tell you why I like magazine's in Europe. They always give you free gifts, like a tote bag or something of that sort. The last time I was here, I got flip flops. I still have them! I wear them occasionally. This time, I got some cool sunglasses! This was good because I needed sunglasses. That's why I love magazine's here in Europe because you get free stuff! And everyone knows that my favorite word is free!

Yesterday, Monday, I took a trip to Adare to see the thatched cottages and the Church of the Most Holy Trinity. It was cool! The day was beautiful, sunny and warm with a nice breeze. I spent time walking around and even sitting in the park filling out postcards for the folks at home. I went down to the post office to mail the cards only to find it closed. It seems that someone in the post masters family died and well, the post office was closed until further notice. Only in Ireland would that happen.

This morning, I left Sixmilebridge and headed off to Galway. Either the bus guide was wrong, or I can't read because I swore I was supposed to get here by 10:40 and well, it was more like 11:30. The bus was on time at each stop, so I think the book was wrong. More than likely, I read the book wrong. Anyhow, I arrived here safe and sound. I had a time finding the hostel. It seems that since they are doing construction here in Galway, I had to detour around to get to where I was going. Luckily for me, I found a postman. I am going to refer to him as Postman Pat, or PP for short. Anyhow, PP set me on the right course and I got to Barnacles Quay Street House without any trouble. Thank you PP, you are my hero.

I know think I have packed way too much stuff. It didn't seem so heavy when I left home, but know it feel like I have bricks in those bags. I have to do some investivigating because I swear there is a body in that bag. Seamus, my friendly Bus Eireann driver from the 8:20 out of Sixmilebridge said to me this morning, "You don't pack light." I think someone has tampered with my bags. I will find out later and let you all know.

Well, I am famished and I haven't had anything to drink all day. I am off to explore Galway. Hopefully, I can get into my room soon because I need to do laundry. Perhaps that is why my bag is so heavy? Dirty clothes weigh more than clean clothes. Ha! Well, until next time. remember magazines in Europe give awesome free gifts and a postman is always your friend! Love ya all! Heather

You can always ask PP to ship want you find you don't need home. Besides, you will need room for treasures:) I just imagine you taking it all in...you sound refreshed already! I did not see it in the bulletin yet...I checked online.
