I'm Leaving On A Jet Plane...

All my bags are packed I'm ready to go....okay, I'll spare you all the agony of that 70's song. But, I am ready to head out. I think I have agonized enough over what to take and what not to take. I even went back and took things out of my suitcase because I thought I packed too much. It was probably a wise decision. In fact, I have room in my suitcases for souvenirs! Although, Lily, I am sorry honey, you won't be getting a sheep as big as a dog. I am a good packer, but I am not that good.

Now, all there is left to do, is get on that plane and head off to the Emerald Isle. I can't wait to see what adventures will come my way. I am going to Ireland to really find out things about myself. Even at my age,(25, for all those kids at school....don't forget, your teacher is 25!!!) I think there is still so much I don't know about me. There is a lot more to my life than being a teacher and singing at church. I think God has sent me on this trip to really make me see what his plan is for me. Like I stated in my grant, I want to go where nobody knows my name. Not because I don't love my school and my parish, because I wouldn't trade them for the world. Nor, would I trade the people who I love and treasure so dearly. I just need to get out of my comfort zone and be tested and challenged so I can appreciate what I have right here at home.

Well, enough of the philosophical stuff. I am off to bed. The next time I write, I will be in Ireland! Until next time, Heather, philosophical diva
