June 07, 2004The Archbishop Wears A Pointy Hat
Well, my audience with the Archbishop went spectacularly well this evening. Okay, who am I kidding? I attended Confirmation this evening and sang in the choir. I didn't really have an audience with the Archbishop. Anywho, the Mass was lovely and the choir was fantastic as always. I am so very proud of our newly Confirmed youth! As I was sitting in the Cathedral tonight, I found myself longing for a pointy hat like the Archbishops. That hat is stellar! That hat commands attention. It says "Look At Me!" Any Diva would pay good money to have a hat that says all that for her. Do they have a shop where I could pick one of those up? Like Archbishops R Us? Or Priestly People Wearhouse? Just kidding! I however, wouldn't mind a bright orange cone with my name painted on it to hold my parking spot at school. Do you think someone could get on that one for me while I am gone? Yeah, I won't hold my breath. Speaking of the religious, my Mom thinks that because I am Catholic, I am in good with the Pope. ( I am a convert) I tell her, I have no pull with the Pope, although, I would really like to visit him in Rome someday. She keeps asking if she can ride in the Pope Car. I told her if I ever get in good with the Pope, I will ask about the car. Perhaps he would let her take a spin in it sometime. Again, I won't be holding my breath. Well, Wednesday is approaching fast. The suitcases are getting full and I am full of nervous anticipation. I can't believe I am going to Ireland all by myself. It seems like a dream. I think I have wanted to do this for so long, that now that I am, it doesn't seem real. If this is all a dream, don't wake me up until after the good part! Heather Feather What's the weather? Remember that one. I know you hate it but, it was pretty cute when you were little. I can still see you doing the twist on the Uncle Al and Wendy show. Okay, enough of that, have a safe and wonderful trip. I hope it is all you want it to be and more! See you in a few weeks. Love ya, Aunt Amy Posted by: Aunt Amy on June 9, 2004 10:06 AM |
