June 06, 2004So Long Festivus 2004
Well, they say all good things must come to an end. Thus, Summerfest 2004 has now come and gone. I think a great time was had by all! Now, the parking lot is being emptied of the rides and booths and the last of the cash has been counted. I think that by now, most people are at home either sleeping or getting ready to go to sleep. It has been a long, excitement filled weekend. I can't wait until next year. Today, I finally got on the stick, I have really started packing! Yes, the Space Bags have come out and the sweaters and sweatshirts have gone in. The suitcases seem so much bigger before you really start putting all the clothes in...then, you ask yourself, where did all the space go? I have the last of the laundry going right now. I hope to be ready to roll by the time I go to bed on Tuesday. I want to sleep in on Wednesday morning ( I mean 8:30 as opposed to 6:15) and then just get up and go. Of course, that won't happen. I have a long list of stuff to take care of before I leave. My computer is sick...it is limping and in need of repair, so it has to be taken apart so the PC doc (aka Dr. Vince from down the street) can come and get it and get it running like it's old self. Of course, I also have those tedious jobs like picking up the house and making sure the place is in order for my housesitters. I don't think I will sleep before I get on the plane Wednesday. Well, the laundry calls! Tomorrow is a full day. I am babysitting and then I have a date with the Archbishop. Okay, not a date, but Confirmation. I can't wait to see him in his neat, pointy hat! Until then, it is back to making my list and checking it twice. Until next time, Heather Posted by Heather on June 6, 2004 10:18 PM
