May 30, 2004Ten Days and Counting
Today, the official countdown begins. I am offically 10 days away from my trip to Ireland. The anticipation is building and now, the crazy dreams have begun. I had a dream just a few nights ago that I was on the plane and realized that I didn't have any luggage. What crazy nutball would go to the airport without luggage? I mean really! But, this is what always happens before I go on a trip. I have odd dreams that seem to come out of nowhere. I don't think the fact that I am leaving in just 10 days has hit me yet. I think I have had too much going on to really get caught up in pre trip craziness. Now that school is over (we finished up on Friday), I will have time to focus my time and energy on getting ready for the big trip. People keep asking me how I feel about travelling alone. You know, I don't really know how I feel. I am nervous and excited and just about every emotion you can think of right now. I think that by staying in hostels, I will be able to hook up with other people who are travelling as well. My one fear is that when I am travelling I won't find anyone who will talk to me. Why I don't know, because most people who are travelling tend to be very friendly, especially to fellow travellers. Also, I am going to one of the most friendly places on earth. The Irish are so hospitable, they would give you the shirt off their backs if you asked. I don't think I really have anything to worry about, but we always fear what we don't know. Well, I am off to pack some things up that I picked up today on my shopping excursion with Sarah and Lily. (My best friend and her two-year-old daughter.) I think that I am done buying things...except for my breakfast bars and my memory card for the digital camera. I am saving that for next week. Until next time......Heather Posted by Heather on May 30, 2004 08:49 PM
