I arrived in Los Angeles March 11. It was a clear day and nice flight down the coast (since I was coming from Osaka). Scott View image picked me up and after lunch in Hollywood we saw John Travolta filming on Sunset Blvd.

I spent my last four days in New Zealand in lovely, relaxing Christchurch. I usually don't fall for small, cute cities but Chch won me over with good music and excellent people.

It's Feb 28 and I'm in Dunedin, heading to Christchurch tomorrow morning.

Bangkok View image was good but Chiang Mai is somethin' else. There's so much to do that I've extended my stay. Hiking up north View image, biking, cooking, eating, drinking, rafting, riding. Where do I start?

Zanzibar conjures up images of Mr. J. Peterman (Elaine's adventurous boss on Seinfeld) telling dramatic travel stories to his employees: "I finally caught a glimpse of a rare African Stonebill when I heard a strange clicking noise only to turn and discover an angry--and hungry--band of Maasai warriors, spears pointed in my direction."
