I spent just one day in Vientiane. I booked myself into a dorm in a guesthouse, showered, changed, slept for an hour, and then went for breakfast. I had croissants and ice coffee, mmmm a welcome change from rice & noodle soup! I walked round the city for the day and then met up with Caroline, a friend I met in Thailand, we only had a couple of hours to catch up before I caught the 8pm bus to Pakse.
