January 11, 2004N Thailand, Laos & Cambodia
Travel Route: Laos Cambodia We'd like to say a big hello and thanks to Peter, Ian, Penny and Connie for an amasing 3 weeks. There were 3 other people for the first 2 weeks, but we won't go there... anyway - moving swiftly on! We'd especially like to say a big thanks to Connie for providing extensive comedy opportunities for us to take the mutual piss out of both the Brits and the Germans....early morning towel placements, trolley dolleys and the infamous 'japanese victory salute'! - all will be imortalised here in pictures soon... Our detailed itinerary continues below:- Detailed Itinerary Day 1&2 Day 3 Day 4
Day 9 Treked through the surrounding hills and visited the stunning Kuang Si Falls. Day 10
Day 12
Day 14 Day 15 Days 16 & 17 – an unforgettable two-day tour of the fabulous site, its ruined palaces and vast jungle clad temples. Dificult to show the scale of many temples in photos, but you can see our Lara skipping across the jungle tree tops...lol and emm...the stairs on some of the angkor temples are a trifle challanging....
Day 18 Day 19 Comments
Great to spend the last 3 weeks travelling with you guys - can't remember a trip with so many laughs - and yes, Penny's hat survived the journey home intact and will no doubt get a few more miles under its belt - the best dollar we spent! Enjoy the rest of your trip and keep in touch. Posted by: Ian and Penny on January 11, 2004 07:33 PMThanks for sharing 3 wonderful weeks with me, boys. I hope you enjoyed your last days in BKK. All the best for your journey to southern Thailand. I am jealous. Mother Connie Posted by: Connie on January 12, 2004 09:28 AMG'day blokes! Great trip. One of the better. Hope life down sth is going well and this unseasonable wet is missing K. Tao. Can't remember the name of the f#### plane from Vientaine to Phnom Penh? Wonder if I'll catch it from BKK to Hanoi? Must ask Connie! Keep in touch. Hi boys, you do remember the name of the plane from VTE to PNH and so does the boss (Peter)! VN 841 was a Fokker 70. Ok, you get the laugh only when I pronounce it. We took a picture when Penny and I were boarding the F70. I shall mail it to you soon. re the name of the plane....emmm... think it was maybe "shag airways"...yea that was it. I think Connie flies with them quite frequently.....*giggles*.... D and K Posted by: D and K on January 17, 2004 03:20 PMHi again, loving the pictures, Rhys has been printing them off to show off at school, especially likes the one of you guys in front of pyramids as doing project in school about the egyptians. You have inspired him and he tells me he's going to travel the world when he's older. You've managed to fit in so much already, what a fantastic experience, you'll never be the same once you're back home. Keep singing! Posted by: Leigh on January 18, 2004 10:24 PM |
