Mis dias

I wrote this entry both in English and Spanish, Spanish first, so it might be a bit simple! If you want to read the Spanish, hit the link and scroll down.

I am in a school in the downtown of Heredia. The name of the school is Intercultura and it is a very nice school. In the school, you can study Spanish or English. Many ticos study English here, and the students of Spanish and English can talk together in both languages. This called an “intercambio.” The school has a dance room and a kitchen for cooking classes. There is an outdoor garden in the middle that has plants and flowers that are very beautiful. The students are from many countries like Germany and Canada. It is a good place to study because it is very pretty and there are many colorful decorations.

Every day, Monday through Friday, I leave my house at 8:10 am and walk to the bus stop. I take the bus to the parque de los angles in the downtown of Heredia. Then, I walk to the school y my class begins at 8:30. The classes are 4 hours long and there is a break in the middle that lasts 20 minutes. I am learning so much. I enjoy my classes, but they are not “fun.” It is hard, but it is good. I really like my teacher. Her name is Paula and she is from Medellin, Colombia. At 12:30, my classes end and my friend Sofie and I eat lunch at a restaurant or café. There are dance classes every day at except Friday at 2:30pm, and this week, I took two classes. Sometimes, I go to the park with my friend and we sit in the sun.

This week, I studied a lot because I have so much to learn. At night, I go back to my house and my “family” and I eat dinner. We talk for a time and, then, I do my homework, one or two hours per night. I go to bed at 11:00 or 11:30 (I know, it is very late!). That is my day, for now, in Costa Rica.

Me gusta mucho mi profesora.

Corrie-
I am very impressed with your essay! I was thinking of you today, in fact I was thinking of you over the last week. Especially when there was a lot of snow around, and you are in a tropical climate. It sounds like you are having a good time, and thanks for setting this "blog" up - it is a great way to stay in touch.

Love you,
Hilarie

HAPPY BDAY CORRIE!!!!!! It's strange not being closer to you on your birthday. I know we got to celebrate before you left, but today is the actual day. I hope that you are having a great day with many new adventures.

It's been a week since we dropped you at the airport. It feels like longer. Well, little sis, I love you very much and am very glad you were born 26 years ago today. I remember it clearly!

Keep having fun!! Love, Amy

But anyways it's been fun to read your blog and your spanish is really good. I look forward to being able to practice with you cuando vuelvas. Is that right? Love you!
