February 21, 2005En los aeropuertos
Estoy in Costa Rica en la cuidad Heredia, y es muy hermoso y interesante! Me gusta mucho mi familia y su casa es muy bonita. I am in Costa Rica in the city of Heredia and it is very beautiful and interesting! I like my family a lot and their house is very nice. What to say! My day of travel was very long... I left Boston at 10:22 am and arrived in San Jose at 9:14pm central time, so it was a 12 hour day. I did meet some very nice and amiable people along the way. I first sat next to a 73 year old man who was in Canada looking for a certain bird. He is a birder and he said that it is attictive. So, we talked the whole way to BWI. From there I flew to Miami and met a German girl who was very nice and we talked about Costa Rica and other things. She was going to study Spanish in San Jose for 2 weeks, so we had lots to talk about it and she was a little nervous because she did not know much Spanish. She was my companion though immigration and costums. Once at the airport I changed some money and totally got ripped off. The going rate for the colon is 465 for the dollar. At the airport, I only got 405!! Es malo!! But, I need cash so I guess it was OK. After going through customs, my family picked me up and I rode with them in their little Honda to their house. I have to get going right now, but it my next entry I will describe Heredia to you. It is really great and the temperature is perfect! Comments
