Thanks for checking out my site! This is a record of what I will see and do for three months in Costa Rica. I have traveled to Asia, Europe and Africa, but this will be my first time living abroad. I have had this dream for quite some time now and it is finally happening! I am the daughter of folks from Alabama, USA (Go Tide!), but grew up in New England. I studied drama at NYU and education at the University of Hartford in Connecticut, USA. I just ended my job as a children's librarian in Hartford, CT and am about to embark on the adventure of my life...so far. I will be going to Costa Rica for some time to learn Spanish, volunteer (hopefully work with children) and experience a whole new place. I hope you'll join me as I find my way around Costa Rica (you will have many laughs at my expense, to be sure!), stay in three different cities with three families and see things too wonderful to tell, but I'll try my best. Maybe even a cow on top of a cotton house, Dad! Enjoy and come back soon, ya hear! Comments
I think I may be the first to comment on your site and your pending travels. You've definitely inspired me to make more serious efforts to follow my dreams of travel. Journey on my friend. Hi, Corrie! Hi sis! So I heard you made it there safely and that your host family is really nice! That's great to hear. How's the weather down there? Have fun! Love Be Posted by: Bethany on February 21, 2005 10:07 AMHello Co. Thanks for the descriptions. Everything sounds wonderful. It seems a little unfair that we got so much snow right after you left and you are now soaking up the sun! : ) Keep the updates coming. Can't wait to hear about class. Also, will you be able to send photos? Love you! Amy Posted by: Amy Black on February 22, 2005 10:11 AMCorrie, |
