What The Economy?
Tuesday, March 31st, 2009Foreigners to Buenos Aires have been noticing two things happen with the economy lately. The first is the incredibly horrible problem of inflation that has been plaguing the city for ages now. The second is that the dollar is climbing high against the peso, a problem that is sure to fuel the inflation issue. The dollar has climbed from 3.1 to over 3.7 in the last 8 months! While that is nice for the traveling expatriate it means big problems for local Argentines as prices rise and the cost of living becomes more expensive.
