January 17, 2005Rugby Practice
So I originally wasn't going to go to school with nat today but plans change, and this time it was for the better. I woke up late for vacation (10.30) and Decided to go with my friends little brother to Richmond village to get a present for his dad's birthday and head to lunch. So we did, and we ate at this cool portugese place called Nando's which obvioulsy is a chain, but it is still good. ( Played awesome spanish music for a portugese restaurant!) But then I got an invite to go to the school and check it out for the day. So i took it. Took the bus into Twickenham and walked in the St james school. IT is awesome. Its basically an old manor house on the banks of the thames river. But after I met up with all my friends at the school, I got another invite to go to rugby practice with them as well. So they frantically thre me together a 'kit' (=practice clothes for us yanks.) and I was off to richmond green for practice. It was really cool to show up at the field and go through the normal rugby practices. It wasn't that hard, and it was really fun. I got pictures of me and my friends in rugby atire, (consists of really really short shorts and a polo long sleeve) It was quite a day. But after that I ended up going to this pub with some of the team call 'The Moon Under Water.' We all had some drinks and it was an awesome night to hang out with my friends on another rainy london night. Don't know what i'm doin tomorw, but i'm sure you'll hear about it sooner or later. Whew- having fun in London Town, what a great thing to do in Jan while the rest of us are at school. Not a drop of English blood in me (Mark's full of it!) but my sisters and I are all anglophiles to 'da max. Thinking of you!
