I'll start with the basics. My name is Eric, I'm 17 years old and a senior in high school. I live in the beautiful Yampa Valley of Colorado, and therefore, it's obvious that I have basically grown up bushwhacking my way through the back country. I'm lucky enough to have an awesome sense of direction, and tons of family that work for the airlines who get free plane tickets. This combination worked perfect for me. People say I'm well traveled for my age (by the time I was 16 I had been to 32 UNESCO world heritage sites, 11 foreign countries, three continents, two international zones, and crossed the Atlantic more times in one summer than humanly possible). However, this trip will be my longest yet. I'm taking the entire second semester of my senior year in high school to go experience university life in a foreign country. I'll be living in Spain for about three months total. My main stays will be in Salamanca and Granada. I'll be polishing my Spanish skills while absorbing the life and culture. The other month I'll be traveling around England, Norway, and Morocco. Oh, did I mention the fact that I will be completely alone, most likely broke, and fending for myself in four different countries for four months? There has to be some worthy material to come out of this trip. This will be my first adventure alone, and I'm looking for some people to share it with. I don't know how else to pitch the situation to you. An alone 17 year old, wandering around, trying to translate Norweigan and Arabic! Come on! Comments
Eric have fun in Spain you filthy wanker! |
