I'm just finishing up my year contract teaching English in Korea. This is actually my last day at work today. I'm a little sad seeing my kids go, but I know I can't be here forever. I have to move out of my apartment tomorrow and move into Tanya's apartment for a bit before I head off to Bali. I really can't believe that the time has come to move on already. I have been dreaming about this time for well over a year and now, it is finally here. I am going to miss this place I called home for almost 2 years. I am leaving Korea a different person than when I arrived. I have learned and seen a lot here and I loved and hated every moment. It's just weird that I will not be here anymore. My life as I know it is basically up for grabs. I hope you enjoy this journal and I am hoping to keep it as interesting as I can.
On packing...I am beginning to pack everything except for the kitchen sink. I will only have a backpack, so I can't pack everything. I don't know what I'll need. I wish I can just go with nothing and be OK. Hopefully, I will get through the pain of leaving things behind. I won't be able to carry the pack for 4 months, as it is now. That is my chore for the week I will not be working...pack!

I'm leaving Seoul, South Korea, where I have lived for almost 2 years teaching English. It's been a great time and a learning experience, but it's time to move on. On January 22nd, I leave for Bali, Indonesia for about 3 weeks. My great friend, Tanya, is meeting me a week later. From there we will travel to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. Friends are meeting us along the way and another great friend, Vickie, will be with us from April 10 and onwards. Amy D. and Amy L. (Tynee) are meeting us after their TOEFL course in Bangkok. After that wonderful experience, I will go home for a few weeks, then I am off to Taiwan to teach for a year again. Life is short, gotta make the most of it...
