gone south

Okay, we are in a state park in the New Orleans vicinity and what a beauty it is. This said after a few nights in much dodgier conditions. But the long and short of it is that it has been REALLY cold. We don’t have any heat other than the van running, haven’t been out of long johns/hats ( even sleeping) yet. Tres abnornal for all points that we have been but it looks as if leaving here and heading towards Corpus Christi,it may warm up. Some tired of these clothes, not to mention that I left my hat in S. Carolina.

Surprises-

#1 COLD

#2 How hilly and beautiful the south can be. Folks are great even though they can’t  believe how we are living. That being said, fellow travelers in all forms are so kind,giving and inspiration.

A day or two more before we head across the border. We’ll update pictures before then but, of course, are unsure of connections immediately following.

Have a great Thanksgiving. Down here there totally skip the event and have headed right into Christmas.
