Oil Kings

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

Last night Charlene and I went to see the Oil Kings in action. They are the Junior team that plays at Rexall and their tickets are pretty cheap (although Northlands still charges you 10.00 to park!). We sat in row 5 for $30.00.

I was surprised by how young these guys are. 16 year olds! I felt old!

Their were lots of families with small children there. I think it’s a good alternative to Oilers hockey for them because they still get the experience with being in Rexall Place Coliseum but it doesn’t hurt the pocketbook to take the rugrats there.

Even the announcer and break entertainers seemed like ametuers doing a practicum.

ANyways, it was neat to be so close.
