Scrapbooking Retreat at HeHoHa

Monday, April 21st, 2008

Went to a Scrapbooking retreat for the weekend. Just in time for the winter weather to really kick back in! I didn’t bring any winter stuff so lots of layering under my leather jacket!

I did get a lot done. Over 12 pages is good for me but I know others got over 40! Whatever! it’s not a contest!

This should be the last big winter harah before spring finally is here. It’s just strange that last Sunday I was walking in the river valley and stopping by the creek to sun myself on the lovely bank and this Sunday I’m freezing my butt off!

Great Escapse to Pigeon Lake

Great Escape Scrapbooking
This weekend I spent scrapbooking at Pigeon Lake at the Village Creek Country Inn. 2 days, 2 night and a hot tub!
4 of us shared a room and table area in Scrapbooking Central. Got there on Friday night and we all stayed up late every night to hang out, gossip, and scrap. Very nerdy! Saturday night we spent time in the hot tub and when it snowed we popped out side to play in the snow. Lots of hilarity late at night. How much laughter can you have when sleep deprived? Angela would know how bad I can get!

One of the lady’s boyfriend showed up and they got their own room for a night so we put up a Love Shack sign and sang the song outside their door during bedtime. I missed poking fun at/getting poked by Rayleen. Mish and I were conspirators together in pranks on Ray. It’s been too long ladies. We need to get together more often.

I even got out of my box when I challenged Rayleen and Mish to scrapbook each other’s pages. We each rotated one spot clockwise, scrapped a page using their photos and supplies and in the end got really cool looking layouts.

The only bad spot was the service at the Eco Cafe where the waitress got an order wrong, blamed the order-er that it was her fault for the mixup and then made a second plate when it was expressly stated she didn’t need it and then tried to charge us for it at the end of the dinner if we took it. EW!
