Extended Stay in Sydney

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

My last few days before flying home had me helping out at the MacMedic store by refining their current marketing campaign and going on a little road trip of the coastline south of Sydney with Adrian.

I think if you click on the link you’ll be able to see the birthday promotion that I helped a little bit with. While I was at their office, I learned some a little about fixing iPods. It’s like I’m being trained or something. :)

Adrian drove me down the coast to the Sea Cliff Bridge near Clifton and through forested areas with lots of coal mining. There is a lot of mining in the area but you don’t notice because it is all underground unlike a lot of the mining around here (Hinton?) where you can see the landscape being affected.

Went to a lovely little sea side town and had a Fisherman’s feast for 2 on the wharf for lunch. Oh Greasy! The food could feed a small village in Africa! It was all so tasty!

We went to the Sea Cliff Bridge near Clifton and walked it. It is a bridge that goes over the ocean instead of hugging the coastline because the rockfalls always block traffic. There were a bunch of locks on the railing there so Adrian and I self engraved a lock I had on me and we put it on the railing as a reminder of our lovely time together! aw! Pictures are up on facebook but I’ll see if I can upload one here.

Flight Adventures

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

On the flight from Darwin to Sydney I had a seat mate that harassed me during the red eye. yay. some passengers are weird.

This morning as I prepared to leave to Brisbane through to LA I found all flights were affected by fog in Melbourne. Once my plane left the lounge it had an aborted take off as there were technical difficulties and had to be taken in for service.

now I’m on a flight direct to LA from Sydney and I hope the connection to Edmoton will still be ok b/c the LAX sux.

 See you in Edmonton soon!
