Moving and Poker

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

I helped Justin and Theresa move to their new home today. They had lots of help from friends and family and we made it in one trip. Theresa’s dad has a large truck and trailer and fit basically everything in both! It was great because it was so organized and everyone was really eager. Their new home is beautiful and I hope they’ve assembled their bed to sleep on tonight.

Later that night I went with Charlene and Dan to a poker night and actually won! Yay! $5.00 buy in. It was kinda fun because I’ve watched Texas Hold’em from those tv shows but I never really played seriously.

Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Campaign and Santa’s Anonymous 08

Monday, November 24th, 2008

I didn’t do as many shoeboxes as last year for Operation Christmas Child but I think I filled the boxes more. Dollarama is the best store ever for this kind of thing! I also found some school workbooks on sale at Staples for like 0.47 each!

There are drop in times for wrapping presents for Santa’s Anonymous. Last year Charlene and I were too late to wrap presents so we delivered them to needy families instead. this year we are going to show up at drop in and wrap ‘em up!

Both are great causes and if you are interested in coming along to wrap presents call me and let me know!
