Yokohama (Ian)

Monday, May 30th, 2005

We went to yokohama (bay city south of tokyo) to visit benny and
gavin’s host family from last summer and we ended up staying the night
(saturday). Good food and we went to some yokohama malls on sunday.
It was a great time and I can see why they had so much fun last year.

I want to come back in 2 years to buy a cell phone (among other
things) when my current contract expires/cellphone goes obsolete. The
phones here are really nice, esp. compared to the ugly ones back home.
Maybe I’ll get b a phone as a souvenir. What do they use in
australia in terms of phone signal?

Insanity

Saturday, May 28th, 2005

at 904 ft off the ground, it was all good! Spinning around the top of America’s tallest freestanding tower at 3G’s was a better rush than the skydiving was.

I seriously thought Cindy was going to leave Kelly and I to go it alone but in the end she braved it. She hopped into a seat and made Kelly sit beside her.

At first I clung on to the rail but after a minute I let go, arms in the air, staring into the night sky screaming at the other two to let go while they screamed back at me NNNOOOOO!!!!!

I think Cindy broke Kelly’s hand on the ride by squeezing it too hard!

I’d do it again and maybe the other 3 rides too.

And I'm still not excited at all. People I've told are excited for me though. Maybe it's the weather report, supposed to be between 25-40C the entire time we are there!
