The Last Night

Saturday, March 20th, 2004

This afternoon the specs took a tour of Sam’s apartment to get an idea of campus accommodation.

A picnic at University Hills where all the profs live, was final official function of the weekend. Margaret and I took a walk around the area when the philosophy talk got to be too much.

Afterwards, all of us went to Coldstone Ice Creamery and for a movie. The creamery was awesome. Choosing mix-ins for your ice cream. Portions are the typical American sized HUGE!

Watched Starsky and Hutch on and Imax sized screen!

typical sam.jpg Sam at his computer. At almost every waking moment, except for washroom breaks and nuking dinner. There's just no communication happening here; he's gotten up, walked to the kitchen to make something for ... [Continue reading this entry]

Wayfarer’s Chapel

Sunday, March 14th, 2004
Gorgeous glass chapel overlooking the Pacific ocean was built by Lloyd Wright, Frank Lloyd Wright's son. It's tiny (therefore the name chapel!) but takes your breath away. Had some American tourists ask if I was Japanese while I walked up ... [Continue reading this entry]

The Pick Up

Saturday, March 13th, 2004
Landed at the airport right on time! Big Hugs! Had my first In n Out burger for dinner. Pretty cool how they have a live person at the drive through instead of screaming at a speakerbox. There seems to be ... [Continue reading this entry]
