January 25, 2005Shopping
Today, upon arrival at the orphanage, I was informed that instead of working at the carpentry shop today, I would be taking two small orphans to town to buy some clothes. Despite not knowing where I was going, what I needed to buy, and not knowing anything about buying clothing for small orphans, I went anyway. As far as shopping goes, one of the worst things ever is having to go to a crowded clothes shop with two small children, figure out what size they could wear, and selecting a suit of clothes...in spanish. I suppose it was neccesary, as both were wearing the clothes they had came to the orphanage in in the first place, and had probably not changed out of them for two weeks. I, however, did not see myself as the most appropriate man for the job. Somehow I came out with both children, and some various articles of clothing which might or might not fit them. I considered it a job well done. We all got some candy, and I see any day that ends with candy, a good one. Comments
