Hi Everyone, Just putting up a bunch of photos from the past couple of days, the computer I am on does not have a CD drive, so I will have to wait to post some of Erik's. On Friday night we went to Thai boxing. It was a riot, these guys just smack each other, but they are very cordial and friendly with each other before and after the match and there seems to be no anamosity. Basically, they have boxing gloves, but can kick, knee, and throw their opponents as well. Each match is 5, 3 minute rounds with the winner being the one who won the most rounds. After the matches were done, they let us take photos with the winners, and even go in the ring and box (I have videos of 2 guys boxing, it's sweet). They had kids as young as 12 boxing as well as 25 year olds. Anyway, here is a photo of Ronan and Darren with Michel, a Spanish boxer who was the only one to knock out his opponent View image
After we went into the ring and Ronan and Jerome put on the gloves and sparred. Here's Jerome on "water" break in between rounds View image This is me practicing with a punching bag View image Earlier that night, we went for all you can eat BBQ at this place called Fatty's. It was sooooo good, they had real sausages (most Thai "sausages" are actualy hotdogs), chicken, pork and ribs (along with bread and salad) all for about $6. Here's the crew after dinner. Bottom: Lauren, Nick, Me, Erik, Jerome Top: Keira, Darren, Alex, Ronan View image
The crew out for a night on the town View image Keira and I sharing a bucket View image This morning we got up early and went for a tour of Ko Phi Phi Lea. This is the beach where the movie "The Beach" was filmed View image There were lots of limestone cliffs all over the place, this is one of the caves in them View image Finally, our hotel for the past 3 nights was at the top of a hill (lots of steep steps to climb), but this was the view from the top :) That's all for now, take care and have fun!! Cheers,
