A Suprisingly Great Travel Stop!

Being married to an Academic helped us discover these rare gems that aren’t only in Costa Rica but in every corner of the world. And, without even realizing it, I’ve been checking out these spots in practically every city and town I’ve ever visited. Plus, with a child they are ideal places to let them run free while you admire the architecture, bubbling life, and art all around you.
Have you guessed what I’m referring to yet?
Universities!
That’s right, the future of our bright, and not-so bright, minds.
Every educational facility houses beautiful gardens, cheap eats, and interest buildings. They are usually open to the public, and can be a wealth of information, besides a grand peek at the local customs and what the teens are up to these days. Let’s face teens are always on the up and up.
On top of that, you can check out all the freebies being offered. It doesn’t matter if you speak the language or not, chances are the posters hanging all over the place are quite visual with the location written in bold letters.
And students love to speak English and some even speak the majority of European languages and will be eager to point you in the right direction and probably ask you to join them. If you’re nice enough:)
So check out the closest Uni and then go for a beer or a quick meal on its outskirts, you’re guaranteed to have a stimulating day, full of activities and super cheap!
