a flying visit home

Took a quick two week trip home in July to visit the family and Luke… mum and dad didn’t know I was coming, so was a great little surprise…When I walked through the door to surprise them, mum looked at me completely blank for about 3 seconds before realising it was me! Was very funny!

Rainee and Dylan were also at mum and dads when I visited which was great, because her baby is due in a couple of weeks so I got to see the round belly! I didn’t have that privledge when she was pregnant with Dylan, so I’m stoked I got to see (and feel!!) my new niece/nephew while still inside ‘mum’. I’m so glad I got a chance to catch up with the family and introduce Luke, only person missing was Adrian, which was a bummer, but he had to stay on Croker until just before the baby is due…

Had a great time in Wollongong with Luke, but unfortunately I got sick for the last week, which put a dampner on the holiday - though Luke did a stellar job looking after me from my sick bed (I’m a terrible patient). We did manage to do a bit of a road trip along the coast and we got to make a ‘crocodile’ sandcastle on the beach…

Family shot. We took this exact same photo about 3 years ago when Dylan was just a baby, so I wanted to re-enact it!

A drive along the coast took in this view towards Wollongong…such beautiful blue skies, though blowing a gale…

Had to get one of my ‘embracing’ shots in! I’m pretty sure this was at Stanwell Park…

Our totally awesome and completely lifelike ‘crocodile’ (I dare you to bed to differ).

so that’s my second long-haul flight for the year ticked off…third one coming up in December! I need to do something about my carbon footprint!

Great to see you enjoyed yourself. And I love the surprise angle, one of my favourites…

Pass on best of luck to Rainee, Adrian and MDT for the new bub. I hope it all goes swimmingly…
