When New Year comes 11 hours early / Quand le Reveillon a 11 heures d’avance
We hope everybody had good New Year celebrations. We headed to our spot on Point Piper at about 9.30 to see the fireworks display. We thought that it would have been really busy but there was maybe 30 people there, which was great. Our housemates had left the flat yesterday morning at 9.00 to get a good place by the Opera House, and so did another million people. The display was OK, but it was nothing extraordinary, and only lasted 13 minutes. When it finished, people were “is that it?”. A bit disappointing but at least we did not wait on a patch of grass under the sun for 14 hours. We then headed to Bondi Beach where there was a big beach party with Basement Jaxx and Bob Sinclair. Fat Boy Slim was supposed to be there but we arrived too late. We went back at 3/4 am. And now it is a beautiful day again! We’ll add more pictures very soon.
Nous esperons que tout le monde a bien reveillonne. Nous sommes partis vers notre point d’observation a Piper Point vers 9.30 pour voir les feux d’artifice. Nous pensions qu’il y aurait eu beaucoup de monde mais il n’y avait qu’une trentaine de personnes, ce qui etait tres bien. Nos collocs sont partis de l’appart’ hier matin a 9.00 pour avoir une bonne place pres de l’Opera, ainsi qu’un million d’autres personnes. Les Feux d’artifice etaient OK, mais ca ne cassait pas des briques, et ca n’a dure que 13 minutes. A la fin, tout le monde s’est regarde et fait: “Ca y est? c’est tout?”. Un peu decevant, mais au moins nous n’avons pas attendu sur un bout d’herbe sous le soleil pendant 14 heures. Ensuite nous sommes partis a Bondi ou il y avait une grosse fete sur la plage avec Basement Jaxx et Bob Sinclair. Fat Boy Slim etait cense etre la, mais nous sommes arrives trop tard. Nous sommes rentres vers 3/4 heures du matin. Et maintenant une tres belle journee s’annonce! nous mettrons des photos des que possible.

Joyeux Noël! Bonne Année! Hey guys how you doing? Sorry for the delay in getting in touch after meeting in India, but have been manic with moving house & then driving to France to see Amy’s parents. And despite the fact that i try not to look at your website as it makes me wish i hadn’t left India to go back to the same old routine that i left behind, but it does look like your having an amazing time. I had a nightmare as soon as i arrived at Goa airport for our return flight when something errupted in my stomach resulting in having to make 15-20 (no joke!) toilet dashes on the plane alone not incl the M25 /M4. I just put it down to part of the Goa experience!!. Anyhow guy’s, i hope to get in touch sooner than it’s taken this time round, and appologies again for leaving it so long. Salut les rosbeefs! nr Bonne année,meileurs voeux,la santé etc…Nous de notre côté , on l’a fait en famille avec les parents de Johanne.On a mangé typiquement haïtien.Angelina était chez ses parents pour les fêtes pendant deux semaines.Rico a vomi du sixième étage de l’appartement de Guéno Sex.Sinon Johanne est enceinte.Bon,bonne soirée et amusez-vous bien.tchao.
