January 24, 2005No Monday for me!
January 25th, 2005 After chilling at the hostel and getting my stuff settled in, I took a local bus with some hostelers to downtown Nadi. THe bus had only the windshield, letting all the fragrant, warm breeze blow through. Its a nice informal tour of the area. There's so many different types of trees and flowers. Some being hybiscus, vibrant red and pale yellow, along with white plumeria trees (my favorite). Nadi has a big Indian population which means cheap goooooood food. OH! and its mango, papaya, and guava season! woohoo! I stumbled across the market and was able to get some for a really decent price. ITs Enthea's birthday today so we're going to bring some fun stuff back to the hostel for dinner. Comments
I'm happy to hear you have been able to develop a fun atmosphere in Fiji. Enjoy the warmth, and the fresh fruit, and the company of friends. :) Posted by: bill lewis on January 26, 2005 09:01 AMHi Anne!! :) I am so glad to read that you are safe and having such a great time! I sure wish I was with you! Memorize every beautiful moment!! Posted by: Shannon Donnick on January 27, 2005 04:55 PMHey Sweetie Pie! Can you post your NZ address so that all of us that are writing you letters (probably just me.. :) can send them to you?? Hope you're enjoying the nice sandy beaches of the islands. I checked out a bunch of pictures of where you are, and they look amazing. One is even for sale for like 7 million. someday... ;) Enjoy every moment! Anne, Your travels sound wonderful. I'm watching Elyse and Nicole playing candyland. Emma is napping and Peggy is at a baby shower. I had to tell you this story. Elyse and her friend Gracie went through the snow into the woods yesterday. Peggy found them 3 houses down. When we asked what they were doing so far away from home they looked up and said they were following rudolph's tracks to the north pole and they were almost there. Be good to yourself.
