Blogarrhea

Thursday, December 15th, 2005

I’ve been thinking about this whole blogging thing and I feel that it’s very exhibitionistic of me and I’m really not that kind of person. Yet, who is really going to be reading it? Only the people I tell that I have a blog. And those will be people close to me. I probably would be telling everyone this stuff if I was around to tell it. Is it really that different from the journals I have to write as a tutor?

Speaking of which, tonight was great because I got to walk to my car with Lisa and I always have to walk alone.

Anyway, maybe this is more like an article that I wrote for the school newspaper and less like a diary. Let’s hope I can keep it up. I’m a notorious diary/journal starter and not finisher.

I just don’t want to be stalked, or to have anyone I went to high school with reading this blog. Ok, not everyone, just most people I went to high school with.

Oh yeah, 41 days ’till I leave (just over a month!)

Pulling it all together - sort of

Wednesday, December 14th, 2005

The semester is coming to an end, I have an essay and paper and an exam left, but instead of studying I’m writing this.

I’m going to study abroad in New Zealand for a semester and I plan on seeing LA, Fiji, New Zealand (duh), Australia and maybe Montana within the next six months.

I’m leaving January 25th.

But first I have to deal with all of the silly school financial stuff - trudging in the snow from the fiancial aid office to the bursar to the records office to my advisor’s office. And they didn’t even plow the campus! It’s icy as hell and cold and I can’t wait to travel into summer (as well as the future) when I go to New Zealand.

So here is the quick requisite info about me, an Agnieszka 101, if you will:

I’m a junior (I think) at Rhode Island College, I’m 20, I live in the town of Lincoln in the state of Rhode Island in the country of the United States of America (but I’m not one of them), I work at the library and at the Writing Center (go WC!), I’m an Anthropology major, I will be studying Maori tattoo practices in New Zealand, I’m of Polish descent if you’re wondering about the name, I’m a vegetarian, I bellydance in my spare time… I’ll add anything if I remember it. My brain is really fried from finals week.

Thanks for Listening,

Agnieszka
