February 10, 2005Hobbling around town and generally doing not much else
Well as you can tell I haven't updated this blog in a week so you won't be surprised to hear that not much has happened... :) I am still hobbling around on my bandaged foot (realized if I was in Toronto I wouldn't be able to drive cause it's my right foot)... glad I'm in Amsterdam as I can still get around by bike - which is easier on my foot than walking - and also because of a certain someone here who bandages my foot every morning and even goes through the daily stretching exercises with me as I moan and complain about the tediousness of such work.... :) I am being taken care of and apart from the risks of staying in an illegal squat, not really worrying about much else... it's quite a luxury especially when I hear from friends who are constantly busy with work... I don't know how I'll adjust once I return to Toronto (which is, to my surprise, in less than 2 months!). I am leaving for Barcelona on the 16th where I will spend a week or so (depending on the status/whim of my tendon) with a friend, then off we go to Granada to work on a farm in exchange for room and board (see www.alpujarraliving.com and go to "Rural Vacation Work" - that's what we'll be doing). Well that's it for now... hope I have more to 'report' the next time I'm online :) Comments
