February 01, 2005Snail mail is truly a beautiful thing...
Well I arrived in Amsterdam a few days ago and by yesterday had received a few letters, two cards, a lovely hardcover book (though big to carry around!) and a lovely large brown poster-sized paper with messages to me from friends of mine in Toronto written on New Year's Eve.... I feel so loved... So this message is for all of my friends and family in Toronto to say THANK YOU for thinking of me even though I am across the ocean and not there with you and thank you for sending me correspondence non-electronically (which I love).... and yes you have finally convinced my friends in Amsterdam that I have friends and family in Toronto that truly love and care about me.... My plans before I return to Toronto: I have a flight booked to Barcelona for February 11th and I plan to be in Spain, Portugal and Italy for 2 months before returning to Amsterdam briefly and then returning home... so my year in Europe will come to an end soon but until then I'm sure there will be more exciting events and people to 'blog' about....
