I like to think I have a pretty good sense of comic timing. I know it really is all about the timing. I like irony, spoofs, puns, sarcasm, tounge-in-cheek and slapstick. I performed in Boston about 5x (including for an audience of thousands at the hatchshell) stand up comedy one summer. Once, someone recognized me on the T (train) when i was withmy friend and I was like, oh, this? it happens all the time.

where i’ve yet to be
just playing with the idea of taking off for six months to go to two places in particular:
new zealand (hangliding, camping, hiking, taking in the sights, learning about maori culture) and italy (walking from assisi to gubbio on a walking path, visiting sites pertaining to the lives of francis and clare)
i like the idea of driving all over the us and canada, visiting my friends who work in mexico (near eagle pass, texas).

i can offer my two cents on these places:
mexico (mexico city plus pyramids in 02)
canada (most notably, quebec city and montreal 01, 02)
costa rica (every january and november….plus, studied at the ucr in 94)
nicaragua (weeklong trip to san juan del sur in 94)
marshall islands (10 days via hawai’i in 03) majuro only
usa (30 states, give or take…have lived in maine, new york, north carolina, massachusetts, connecticut)

finland (quick trip via baltic ferry in 94)
iceland (overnight on the way to uk with my dad)
scotland (1 week-inverness and edinburgh)
wales (cardiff to see a pal)
england (mostly london-same trip)

france (feminist separatist commune in l’orient for a few days in 94, taize, burgandy and brittany 00)
spain (age 16 spent summer in murcia, in 2003, walked el camino del santiago 130 miles)
germany (east berlin)
cyprus-mistakenly thought i had found the love of my life
denmark (fleeting stop in copenhagen)
sweden (friends in malmo)
netherlands (was young…did the usual stupid stuff in a-dam)
