That porridge has got to be the richest food I've ever heard of. Did you bring clothes with elastic waistbands? Keep up the fantastic food writing!

Oh Sophie it sounds as if you are having an absolutely wonderful time! I am really enjoying your daily blog...your description of the sour cream porridge was nearly making me log on Huntsville Hot Ticket and grab flight with only a spoon and my appetite as luggage. You know how I am so desperately into fashion so I am currently looking into the "Bunad" style outfits you were mentioning, they sound so bright and colorful. Well Sophie you take care and keep writing.

I'm SO glad you're a foodie! I think it's the absolute best way to experience a country and its people. There is tons of history and culture wrapped up in ingredients, hence biscuits, gravy, and cornbread, southern bbq, grits, and Moon Pies!
I hope to be reading as you eat your way through Norway... go all-out food porn on us; we need photos!

Cheering you on in AL...
